USD/CAD has risen around 90 pips from 1.1735 in the early European morning, to reach the intra-day high at 1.1825. Currently the pair is trading around 1.1815/25, 0,40% up from opening price at 1.1765.
Yesterday, the pair rose 0.33% from 1.1727 opening price, reaching 1.1791 as maximum and 1.1680 as 2009 low, to close the day at 1.1768.
According to the Mataf.net analyst team, Loonie is in a downtrend: "1,1798. USD CAD is in an downtrend directed by 1H exponential moving averages. The volatility rises. Bollinger bands are deviated. ForexTrend 4H (Mataf Trend Indicator) is in a bearish configuration. The consolidation should continue. The price should continue to move in 1,1740 / 1,1850 range. Resistances: 1,1810 - 1,1850. Supports: 1,1740 - 1,1685."
